Nova-Tech Engineering is seeking a Technical Assembler to add to their growing organization!
Nova-Tech Engineering was founded in 1992 and began as one person's passion to benefit the agricultural industry. Through innovative process automation technology, the company engineers and manufactures products that serve over 500 commercial poultry hatcheries in 59 countries worldwide. Headquartered in Willmar, MN, on the beautiful MinnWest Technology Campus, Nova-Tech Engineering employs over 200 people, in a variety of roles and expertise.
This role is focused on providing technical product assembly, testing, and troubleshooting abilities to ensure manufacturing goals of the organization are met. Including building new components, sub-assemblies, and complete NTE products with a primary focus on first generation products recently released from Engineering. This role will also guide and mentor other team members, drawing on their experience to build the skill set of others.
Summary of Core Responsibilities:
Assemble, test, and qualify product builds with direction from schematics, rough sketches, SolidWorks models, and verbal instructions
Troubleshoot/debug, diagnose, and repair products built by team members
Train and mentor other team members on the assembly and testing of new products
Work with tech writers and or engineering to develop product instructions.
Troubleshoot malfunctions and perform electro-mechanical repairs as needed, informs management of issues in assembly and manufacturing process
Inspect, test, and measure materials or products being produced for conformance to specifications and commitment to quality
Continually seek process improvements and make recommendations to team members and engineers
Follow all NTE policies, procedures and applicable laws
Overtime may be requested
Other duties as assigned
The Ideal Candidate Skills and Experience:
Strong attention to details with ability to handle and assemble small parts and electronic components using hand tools, and soldering irons
Able to problem solve through production issues and providing Continuous Improvement opportunities, while focusing on a commitment to quality
Strong skills for troubleshooting, root cause analysis and analyzing effectiveness of corrective actions using statistics and data analysis tools
Advanced Electro-mechanical capabilities
Able to manage multiple priorities & meet deadlines
Basic knowledge of various MS Office applications such as: Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Ability to read blue prints and use precision measuring tools / instruments
Excellent influencing skills and strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to teach, mentor and support other members
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
