HOURS: 1pm 9:30pm but can change depending on business needs (Split 2nd Shift) EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED. SUMMARY OF POSITION:The materials processing operator will be responsible for the processes and equipment in the following process areas:Receiving - Safely and efficiently operate receiving equipment to keep working bins at needed inventory levels. Accurately measure bin depth and report measurements for inventory purposes. Collect samples and perform testing per quality program guidelines to be the first line of defense for accepting only quality ingredients. Grinding Safely and efficiently operate hammermill equipment to keep working bins at needed inventory levels. Accurately measure bin depth and report measurements for inventory purposes.Flaking - Safely and efficiently operate flaking mill equipment to keep working bins at needed inventory levels. Accurately measure bin depth and report measurements for inventory purposes.SKILLS REQUIRED:Working knowledge of all mechanical and process control aspects of equipment in the process areas to safely and efficiently operate it. Mechanically inclined individual who can help troubleshoot their system. Proficiently operate a forklift truck in a safe manner. Accurate completion of required paperwork, process control and ERP documentation for internal and external requirements, including federal regulations Be able to withstand heights such as tops of bins, legs, and other equipment. Must be able to perform simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Proficient in basic computer skills.PROCEDURES:The Materials Processing Operator will unload ingredients, grind ingredients and flake ingredients into the appropriate bin. The operator will complete all applicable necessary testing and paperwork with the required information for each ingredient into the system. The operator must safely and efficiently unload trucks to prevent the cost of demurrage. The operator must understand the limitations of the system, each ingredient, and each bin while working with and communicating with Supervisors on inventory level needs. The operator will need to work with the Production Supervisor or Lead Person in order to accommodate ingredients and special circumstances. The operator is responsible for testing and cleaning grains, grinding, flaking and transferring ingredients from storage bins to working bins.ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, you will be walking, standing and engaging in movement throughout the day, and occasionally to frequently be required to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
