Packer Operator:Perform a wide variety of duties related to basic production. Job assignments may include but are not limited to the areas of general production. To include the operation of packaging related equipment. The individual will perform at a skilled level in one or more skills. Packaging Operators primary focus will be on operation of the packaging equipment. This includes the operation, setup or change over, cleaning and record keeping of equipment and daily production. The individual should aggressively pursue many training opportunities, both on and off the job. Under general supervision, work from detailed instructions and assignments.HOURS:2nd Shift (2pm - 10:30pm) WAGE RANGE SALARY: $17.93/HourLand OLakes, Inc offers a competitive salary and bonus potential. SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:Mechanically inclined individual who can help troubleshoot their system. Must possess knowledge of process control and packaging equipment Capability to run Feederline Equipment for Texturized Feed when support is not available Proficiently operate a forklift truck in a safe manner. Be able to withstand heights such as tops of bins, legs, and other equipment. Must be able to perform simple math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Proficient in basic computer skills. Must possess the ability to work as a positive team member. Other duties assigned by Supervisor. PROCEDURES:The Packaging Operator will be responsible for packaging of finished feed in to designated packaging in a safe and efficient manner. This includes but not limited to set-up and changeover for each production run, identifying downtime causes, taping, sewing and tag placement on each product, cleaning of packaging system and packaging area, reporting maintenance related issues to appropriate personnel as needed. The operator will also be required to complete all required paperwork, process control and ERP documentation associated with the packaging process. The operator must understand the limitations of the system and each product. The operator will need to work with the Production Supervisor to accommodate special circumstances. The operator is responsible for cleaning packaging system as required and communicated by supervisor.ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Working in a manufacturing or warehouse environment, you will be walking, standing and engaging in movement throughout the day, and occasionally to frequently be required to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs. Due to a large variety of job duties (both routine and non-routine), certain duties also may involve, a variety of physical activities including bending, lifting, stooping, turning, twis
