Nextern, Inc. R&D Assembler II- First Shift (5:00am-1:30pm) in White Bear Lake, Minnesota
Nextern is hiring for the role of R&D Assembler II- First Shift. This roles comes with competitive pay and a full benefits package (details below)
The R&D Assembler II will perform a variety of duties involved in assembly: material handling, packaging, loading and unloading lines, assisting others in operations. Will perform labor in a cleanroom and production environment assembling medical devices. Primary focus is to build product by following processes to meet production goals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Works as part of a team to assemble parts.
Sorts and places material or items on tables, racks or bins.
Assembles small parts manually under a microscope.
Cleans assembled parts and places in protective bags or boxes.
Packages assembled parts
Picks up, moves and sorts small parts.
Verifies raw materials and lot numbers.
Builds product by following all processes, and completing other assigned work, while meeting manufacturing goals and metrics.
Rotates as necessary and works well with all group members, both within the team and cross-functionally.
Maintain accurate records, including training records, and required paperwork.
Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
Report defective material or questionable condition to the department supervisor.
Contribute and adhere to safety and quality process and procedures.
Communicate status of operation in a timely manner to management including any safety and/or process problems.
Maintain a clean and safe work area

Requirements
High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
2-4 years’ experience or high-quality output or previous medical device assembly experience.
Previous experience in manufacturing, performing inspections, and operating equipment.
Must be friendly, courteous, service-oriented, and flexible and enjoy working with a variety of staff.
Must be detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines.
Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision; work well under pressure; able to manage multiple projects.
Ability to read blue prints
