Maintenance Supervisor Electrical, Construction & Machining

Job Purpose:

Your typical day will be fast paced working in collaboration with cross functional teams to achieve organizational success through the completion of impactful improvement and capital projects. You will be making management decisions regarding safety, quality, crew sizes and work priorities for the teams.

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct daily shift start up meetings.

  • Provide direction and oversight regarding required PPE for the project tasks at hand.

  • Provide staffing and guidance to complete scheduled project work.

  • Facilitate the fabrication and assembly of equipment used in the production of windows and doors.

  • Conduct or facilitate periodic safety training as required by OSHA, MPCA, NFPA,…etc

  • Ensure that staff are accurately booking time to work orders on a daily basis.

  • Make regular contact with each crew member as well as periodic 1:1’s with each employee to understand their needs and to answer any questions they may have.

  • Track the training level of each employee to determine training gaps and work with them to build up their abilities.

  • Maintain accurate employee time and attendance records including time off requests.

Schedule: Days M-F 6:30AM-3:00PM, OT as needed.


  • Excellent teamwork skills built around collaboration toward common goals

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Excellent cost-based resource planning and timeline estimation skills.

  • Strong electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical aptitude and skills

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to understand production equipment processes.

  • Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm.

  • Vision to provide input into the Operations and Capital budgeting process.


  • Journeyman Electrical License preferred

  • 2 Yr Associates Degree or higher preferred or equivalent experience in manufacturing

  • Experience leading people in a demanding project setting

  • Strong focus on customer service and are driven for success

  • Willingness to learn and grow at an accelerated pace

  • Previous experience supporting a manufacturing facility, its equipment and processes.
