A Burn Table Operator performs duties necessary to cut material according to customer specifications using burn table equipment. In addition to preparing orders according to customer specifications, a Burn Table Operator is also responsible for the proper set-up, communication with proceeding shifts and monitoring burn table equipment. Burn Table operator 1st shift -$17.26 Burn Table Operator weekend days- $17.26 Monday Thursday 5:00am 3:00pm Friday, Saturday and Sunday ONLY 7am 7pm Job description of the burn table operator: Loads equipment with product using the overhead crane and/or forklift in order to prepare the equipment for an accurate cut. Removes materials using the overhead crane from the burn table after cutting and handles it according to router instructions. Prepares equipment to cut material by downloading or programming the computer according to customer specifications. Packages material for shipping when needed. Measures material before/after cutting to ensure compliance with customer specifications. Completes inspection reports after inspecting and measuring the material. Performs preventive maintenance as needed including (but not limited to) wiping down torches and equipment. Completes assigned duties in accordance with safety policies and practices with regards to individual safety, the safety of other employees, and the safe use of equipment in the workplace. Wears approved personal protective equipment such as safety shoes, gloves, safety glasses, etc. Performs other duties as assigned by a supervisor, lead person or management.
