Learn more about us at (NASDAQ: HWKN) ABOUT THE JOB Hawkins is looking for an Associate Production Supervisor at our facility in St. Paul, MN. This position is responsible for providing support to plant production staff, including assisting the Plant Supervisor with supporting all processing, packaging, material handling and distribution functions in the plant. Responsibilities Supervise and train production, warehouse and maintenance personnel to meet customer requirements and preset inventory levels in a PSM/RMP regulated facility, while ensuring company standards for safety and quality compliance (EPA, OSHA, DOT, ISO, cGMP, etc). Operate processes (adjusting variables such as temperature, pressure, feed rate, sampling, etc.) in accordance with SOPs. Operate motorized equipment, including forklifts, skid loader, front-end loader, snow plow, company pickup, etc. Coordinate unloading of barges, including completing work orders and ensuring proper paperwork. Identify and take corrective/preventive action to resolve issues, reduce waste, and drive continuous improvement. Reviews shipping and receiving variance reports, prepares items for shipping, reviews inventory reports, performs inventory of railcars, and closes out completed work orders, ensuring inventory accuracy. Processes day-to-day transactions, including work orders, inventory transfers, purchase orders, financial reporting, and other paperwork and documentation. Participate in the continuous improvement process to increase operations efficiency and effectiveness, and take corrective/preventative action to resolve issues, reduce waste, and drive continuous improvement. Oversee facility maintenance and housekeeping, inspections, compliance, and act as a member of the emergency response team as an Incident Commander. ABOUT YOU BS in technical science degree required; BS in Chemical/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience Prior leadership experience preferred. Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook) required; previous MRP or ERP experience preferred Ability to work a non-standard workweek, including weekends and on-call as necessary Ability to operate industrial equipment, including forklifts, skid loader, etc. Valid Driver's License in good standing; CDL preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Ability to sit, stand, and climb stairs as needed in a facility with a wide range of temperatures, and to work outside in all weather conditions. Able to perform manual dexterity tasks, and to stoop, turn, twist, bend, and reach occasionally. Ability to comply with all mandatory Environmental, Health, & Safety and process specific training and participate as a member of the Emergency Response Team in Level A PPE required.
