SUMMARY

Under the direction of a department manager, perform assignments to become familiar with various manufacturing, engineering, accounting and/or administrative functions to attain practical experience, as related to Grede Foundries, to supplement formal academic training to prepare and qualify the student for a responsible position upon graduation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential

Perform duties to assist in or complete projects or regular work assignments commencing with the less complex and progressing to the more challenging.

Develop knowledge and understanding of various foundry manufacturing or support departments through assignments in departments or areas as determined by student needs, desires, educational background or company requirements.

Perform various job duties and responsibilities for familiarization purposes or to fill in for vacations, illness, etc.

Attend pertinent in-house or outside training sessions and seminars, as directed.

Visit other Grede facilities and other companies to observe their operations, time permitting.

Submit written reports concerning experiences and observations at the completion of each training phase.
