Fiserv Production Scheduler in Shoreview, Minnesota
2nd Shift-Monday-Friday 2:30 p.m.-10:30 p.m.
Work activity may include, but is not limited to: correlating planning and scheduling of machining and hand work; obtaining maximum utilization from machines and equipment and timing of operations; preparing material requirement orders or requisitions for new and special materials; revising and rescheduling of orders to compensate for rush, vendors failure to delivery, etc.; establishing correct lead time on work orders to meet delivery commitments; and participating in the projection of order delivery dates for new orders; detailing of work scheduling; and systematic release of orders to production. Incumbent may participate in establishing and revising the master schedule. Performs surveillance over orders in process to keep informed of production status and need to take action to maintain conformity with schedules. Sometimes supervisory or technical assistance may be needed for work except for work that the incumbent earlier performed. Incumbent is expected to retain skills and work know-how so that the performance of the same work at a later date will be performed without continuing assistance. This job level requires an incumbent to quickly learn to perform multi-tasking and to focus concentration for extended periods. Satisfactory performance requires fundamental planning and scheduling skills and some knowledge of production control technology and methodology. Keeps supervisor informed as to status of planning and scheduling work. Requires some knowledge of company products. At this level, problem solving is a significant responsibility and requires inquiry and evaluation to resolve issues. Must be able to quickly learn to define issues, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Incumbent may train and assist others as assigned. Incumbent may train, assist, and in general help others as assigned. When all necessary work information is not readily available incumbent must assemble missing data. May work with confidential information and data requiring care to protect. Works from oral or written instructions and a variety of job specifications, bills of material, engineering and manufacturing data, blueprints, diagrams, sketches, and schedules --- all in English. Comply with all policies, procedures, and work rule guidelines. The incumbent is expected to perform all duties and tasks within his/her department or job and when assigned, in any other department or job to the best of his/her individual skill and ability. This may include being assigned certain production tasks during work peak periods.

8.Physical requirements include walking, standing, sitting, and the use of hands to process work and use keyboard. May on occasion exert or lift up to 25 lbs. Successful performance requires good vision abilities including close vision.
Education & Experience: Generally an associate degree in industrial technology, material management, or 1 – 3 years of direct or closely related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. In addition to the time guidelines, an individual must meet all other job requirements and a company approved job opening must exist.
Functional Area Skills/Knowledge: Requires fundamental planning and scheduling skills and some knowledge of production control technology and methodology; professional skills in communications and writing; strong interpersonal skills; and very good telephone skills. Also, requires good organizational skills, ability to stay in control and maintain even handed approach with people while working with continually changing multi tasks in a deadline work environment. Requires good PC user skills.
