Fiserv Production Operator- 2nd shift in Shoreview, Minnesota
Insert Operator (2nd Shift)
Work Schedule: 2:30 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Monday - Friday
As a Fiserv Insert Operator, you will be responsible for the set up and operation of automated equipment which inserts a card carrier, various marketing materials, seals envelope, applies postage and confirms order counts. You'll be trained on how to operate inserting equipment and program computer batches from an order ticket to load data. You will carry out the task of making adjustments to machines to ensure work accuracy while responding to equipment error messages. You will also perform quality checks, confirm quantity produced, make sure the batch is correct per the order ticket, and set up the equipment. In this role, you can expect the following:
Working from order ticket, gather all materials necessary for a specific job.
Set up an inserting station for each item.
Monitor envelopes for indicia quality and seal, confirm count, and separate 1 oz from 2-oz mail.
Perform repetitious tasks day-to-day.
Pull any special handling requests.
Respond to equipment error messages, and make necessary adjustments.
Order required supplies (i.e. trays, sleeves, APC’s, etc.).
Overtime may be necessary during peak periods.
Follow security procedures at all times.
Basic qualifications for consideration:
High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred, but is not required.
Experience in a fast paced, high volume warehousing environment and knowledge of warehousing concepts.
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
Experience operating a computer workstation.
Some knowledge of recording and entering data into spreadsheets.
Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays during peak periods.
Problem solving and the ability to improvise.
Flexibility with working in other areas on occasion.
Strong ability to multi task.
Ability to work with associates with collaboration related to productivity, safety and quality of work.
Be able, as it is necessary-to climb, stretch, crouch or kneel.
Successful performance requires good vision including close vision for accurate attention to detail.
Work requires incumbent to be mobile and in a standing / walking position.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
Uses hands to handle, finger, or feel objects and to perform keyboarding.
Ability to operate moving equipment, used for storage and transporting materials (i.e.: rolling carts, pallet jacks).
