U.S. Water Services Plant Manager - Minnesota Manufacturing (Cambridge & Shakopee, MN) in Shakopee, Minnesota

This position will oversee our Shakopee and Cambridge Chemical Manufacturing Plants.

In this role as a Plant Manager across 2 plants your responsibilities include ensuring production activities comply with all Kurita policies and procedures, maintaining the Minnesota production facilities in an orderly and operational condition, and leading their facilities, including being the point of contact for all production related questions and maintaining the budget for all Minnesota plants.

You will provide process improvement suggestions, train and develop your team, and support Kurita initiatives for quality management systems (ISO), safety, and regulatory compliance concerns. Identify opportunities in the organization and processes that need improving or establishing. Works with Master Black Belt on cross-functional process improvement initiatives. Utilization of excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work across organization and influence all levels. Possess a sound knowledge of supply chain and business processes and procedures including manufacturing planning, demand, and replenishment.

  • Management and oversight of all production operations within the Minnesota facilities.

  • Manage raw material and finished good inventories; maintain appropriate levels to support both make to order and stock.

  • Investigate and supervise any corrective and preventative actions when needed.

  • Maintain and implement any OSHA policies and procedures.

  • Ensure all policies, procedures and work instructions pertaining to the production & shipping of chemicals are followed in accordance with Kurita ISO 9001 and 14001 Quality Management Systems.

  • Maintain raw material inventory levels and work with Inventory Planner to update minimum inventory levels.

  • Ensure production equipment calibrations are completed and records are maintained.

  • Oversee maintenance and organization of the facility in operational condition.

  • Develop and maintain processes surrounding order fulfillment.

  • Forward thinking with opportunities in regards to process improvement in a lean manufacturing environment.

  • Develop and maintain KPIs to measure performance.

  • Other duties as needed by the Director, Manufacturing.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience in production manufacturing environment.

  • Must be willing to travel between two plants Cambridge & Shakopee

  • Previous management experience - leadership and mentoring experience is a must

  • Chemical handling experience/knowledge

  • Safety first mindset

Physical and Mental requirements:

  • Being able to do the following in a safe and effective manner.

  • Climbing, ascending, and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and industrial equipment, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.

  • Reaching and extending hands and arms in any direction.

  • Standing and walking for sustained periods of time.

  • Pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and stooping for sustained periods of time.

  • Using upper extremities to move objects and equipment with steady force.

  • Sometimes working in temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour
