Aerotek Medical Assembler in SAINT PAUL, Minnesota


The preson in this position will be assembling implantable devices call stimulators.

This will include: completing other sub assemblies, using small hand tools, assisting with cleaning parts, documenting, visual inspection and final packaging of the devices. In addition, the person would be responsible for UV curing, operating a small welding machine, using loctite, test components using auto test fixtures. There is some clean room when sterilizing and packaging the parts and some microscope for final inspection, but it isn't all day every day. Just here and there throughout.

Other general duties:

Works as part of a team to assemble parts. Sorts and places material or items on tables, racks or bins. Assembles small parts manually under a microscope. Cleans assembled parts and places in protective bags or boxes. Packages assembled parts Picks up, moves and sorts small parts. Verifies raw materials and lot numbers. Builds product by following all processes, and completing other assigned work, while meeting manufacturing goals and metrics. Rotates as necessary and works well with all group members, both within the team and cross-functionally. Maintain accurate records, including training records, and required paperwork. Performs other related duties as assigned by management. Report defective material or questionable condition to the department supervisor. Contribute and adhere to safety and quality process and procedures. Communicate status of operation in a timely manner to management including any safety and/or process problems. Maintain a clean and safe work area

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

1-4 years’ experience in medical device assembly experience, preferrably catheter or very small part assembly Previous experience in manufacturing, performingvisual inspections, and operating necessary assembly equipment Must be detail-oriented and work effectively under pressure while meeting all applicable deadlines. Must be able to work independently and productively with minimum supervision; work well under pressure; able to manage multiple projects. Ability to read blue prints Must be willing to work under a microscope throughout the day
