JOB SUMMARY: Design, build, plumb, maintain, troubleshoot and repair production tooling.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
•Design and build small to medium sized production weld and assembly fixtures.
•Provide support to production operations.
•Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and pneumatic systems.
•Work as liaison with design and manufacturing team to concept, design and build large fixtures.
•Independent project management (i.e. organization, coordination, problem solving, initiative and ownership)
•Able to work independently or in a team atmosphere on various sized projects •Able to lead technological advances for current department and train others when necessary.
•Able to assist Controls department with automated tooling.
•Operate with sense of urgency and in the best interests of the company
•Able to create / read blue prints and use general measuring equipment.
•Operate manual and CNC equipment as required.
•Work overtime or alternate shift as required.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
•Machine Tool Technology certificate or equivalent
•Prefer the following experience:
•Experience with repair of mechanical systems
• Proficient with Mastercam, version X or later
• Production weld fixture building experience
• Experience in design and trouble shooting of pneumatic logic circuits
• Proficiency in Solidworks
•Project Lead experience with various sized projects a plus.
