PCB Assembler II Job ID(Requisition ID): 5094 Job Summary PCB Assembler II with our Production Team. Location:Rochester, MN The PCB Assembler II assembles and/or modifies electronic components, subassemblies and systems by following specific instructions and assist in working with other less experienced assemblers. This is a 2nd shift position working Monday through Thursday from 3:45 p.m. - 1:00 a.m. (Work 37 hours, get paid for 40!) Essential Functions and Competencies Ability to use hand tools and associated devices to manufacture PCBs and other electronic assemblies Ability to learn and master all tasks associated with PCB assembly that are assigned Ability to identify electronic components Ability to identify solder non-conformance and correct them Effective communication, both verbal and written Ability to respond to written and verbal instructions Ability to work with and around chemicals used in the PCB manufacturing process Ability to work overtime as needed Ability to obtain and renew certifications on assigned equipment and willingness to cross-train in other areas Participate in a continuous improvement activity Qualifications / Education / Experience Read and follow assembly prints, work instructions, drawings, procedures and specifications used in the manufacturing of PCBs Identify by sight workmanship and material defects in touch-up and assembly areas and may be able to suggest basic changes to the work instructions to improve operations in these areas Perform tasks with a high degree of care and attention to details while maintaining a clean and safe work environment Assemble electronic components, assemblies, and modules by working from samples, visual aids, wiring lists and process sheets Maintain accurate material control within the work area Perform inspection of own work in immediate working unit Participate in providing timely feedback to other operations, management and support engineering, as appropriate Follow and maintain accurate process documentation Level II Perform all the essential functions and competencies listed above Assemble PCBs of an intermediate complexity May use a variety of tools to perform tasks Serve as a mentor to lesser skilled employees 1+ years of experience in hardware and/or simple optics assembly type activities Candidate must have High School diploma or GED.
