In this exciting role as aTechnical Supervisoryou will have responsibility of leading a team of technicians in the mechanical and packaging lab, work with engineers and several process partners within and across various operating units to manage, prioritize workload and ensure their needs are met on time.

CARDIAC RHYTHM AND HEART FAILURE offers devices and therapies to treat abnormal heart rhythms, as well as cardiac diagnostic and monitoring solutions.
A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Performs a variety of duties in the electronic, mechanical, electromechanical, and/or optical areas.
Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests, diagnoses, and maintains equipment, components, devices, or systems.
Works from schematics, engineering drawings and written or verbal instructions.
Operates related equipment; conducts tests and reports data in prescribed format.
Performs calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed; prepares prescribed compounds and solutions.
Supervises team members providing tactical and technical supervision in the mechanical and packaging area.
Plans and establishes goals and objectives for a team, typically within department
Provides primary input to hiring, firing, promotion, performance, and rewards decisions for direct reports
Perform ongoing lab operational tasks
Receives assignments in task-oriented terms and delivers results per established procedures
Provides day-to-day work direction for team, focused on maintaining steady workflow, resource allocation and productivity. Makes decisions impacting project or department schedules with allocation of time or material resources
Drives lab processes and systems improvements
Communicates with internal and external partners/customers and vendors, across various levels of the organization.
Shares and exchanges relevant information to reach solutions, and gaining cooperation of other parties
Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution. Also provide coaching assistant to the supervisor direct reports
Manages day-to-day elements of the budget
Ensure lab complies with ISO-17205 accreditation
Lead internal and external audits
Executes strategic initiatives
May support testing or IQ activities as needed
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- Bachelors Degree with 1+ year of experience in Quality
Nice to Have
Medical device experience
Detail oriented, accurate, and results driven.
Experience with ISO 17025
Proven leadership working in fast paced environment, managing planned and unplanned.
Experience with quality system documents.
Expert software proficiency in MS Office, including PowerPoint, Excel and Word
Ability to work with multiple employees with competing priorities while maintaining good interpersonal relationships
