Vision Ease Lens Film Preparer - 1st shift in Ramsey, Minnesota

Tracking Code 219-982 Job Description Shift: Monday - Friday, 1st shift, 6:00am - 2:30pm The film preparer is responsible for the timely transformation of polarized and photochromic film sheets to usable discs for the molding process as it relates to the established production schedule requirements. In addition, the film preparer is expected to accomplish this by executing the applicable work instructions, performing within established process parameters, and any additional implemented methods that apply. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Process film disc wafers to include: opening work orders, marking axis lines, operating knife cut machines, cleaning wafers, punching and removal of discs, laminating, forming, loading film baskets and drying film Test film for dryness, size, and other factors to ensure quality Seal film and load film tubs Mark film tubs with barcode Issue daily counts of parts produced and cycle times Complete proper documentation of processes including basic data entry Participate in Factory Experiments and Designs of Experiment as required Perform preventive maintenance and housekeeping Adhere to safety practices Other duties as assigned Required Skills Ability to use Microsoft Excel and Outlook required. JDE, Word and Internet experience is a plus. Ability to add, sub-tract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to read and write English with good comprehension, comprehend instructions, and understand correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees/departments inside of the organization. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in both standardized and unique situations. Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
