Provide support to engineers in the development of new products, associated processes, and required tooling/fixtures. Participate in developing, optimizing and performing assembly operations for new products.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
Adheres to Integer’s values and all safety, environmental, security and quality requirements including, but not limited to: Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety, Environmental and Security Management Systems, U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, company policies and operating procedures, and other regulatory requirements.
Build and test product as directed by engineers or management.
Observe effects of processes on product and provide feedback to engineers either verbally or in the form of written laboratory reports. Alter process, if directed, to achieve desired outcome. Recommend changes to processes or fixtures to achieve desired outcome.
Develop, write and maintain manufacturing procedures and test methods.
Prepare R & D build documentation and initiate builds as needed.
Maintain laboratory equipment as needed and maintain cleanliness of laboratory area.
Obtain materials for R & D builds from inventory as needed. Monitor levels of purchases components and recommend replenishment if necessary.
Support new equipment/process implementation.
Sets up and runs experiments and/or tests apparatus with direction. Cleary records test results in laboratory notebook.
Assembles and installs equipment/fixtures for R & D builds.
Troubleshoots. May repair, modify, and/or maintain systems and/or equipment.
Performs other duties as required.
Education & Experience:
Minimum Education: Associate’s degree in technical field with 3-5 years relevant experience OR a high school graduate with 7-10 years relevant experience.

Knowledge in catheter manufacturing technologies, e.g. molding, extrusion, thermoforming, adhesive bonding, split die forming, hot air reflow, braiding, laser and resistance welding, soldering, wire forming, electropolishing, sterilization, etc.
Well organized with strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
Must be able to work on multiple projects and deal with changing inputs and priorities.
Must be able to use a microscope and a variety of measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, etc.
Work requires high degree of attention to detail and commitment to standard laboratory techniques.
