PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for planning, directing, and controlling all activities of vertically integrated manufacturing plant to accomplish safety standards, production metrics, budgeted financial objectives, and customer requirements. Leads all functions either directly or indirectly at the plant including planning, purchasing, production, quality, shipping, facilities, tooling, inventory, and employee relations.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Manages either directly or indirectly all plant functions including production, safety, materials, purchasing, maintenance, employee relations, accounting, quality and shipping to meet established standards.

  • Develops budgets and operational plans to meet overall divisional financial and operational goals for the plant.

  • Determines schedules, forecasts and budgets for plant resources, equipment, supplies, and facilities.

  • Reviews organizational and people planning to ensure they are consistent and adequate for the attainment of plant production and utilization goals.

  • Implements capital expenditures including facility improvements and tooling and fixtures.

  • Develops goals and objectives for the plant reflecting overall organizational plans. Communicates effectively to attract, motivate and retain a high performing employee team.

  • Acts as the operation’s communication lead and liaison. Establishes and maintains necessary communications and coordination with peers, direct staff, supervisors, vendors, customers, and government agencies associated with or affiliated with the plant.

  • Administers policies and programs plant-wide that ensure the most economic and efficient use of equipment, facilities, and human resources.

  • Maintains a high level of cross-functional communication between plant functional areas and departments.

  • Administers direct supervisory responsibilities for professional and technical personnel, including selection, hiring, training, performance evaluation, promotional recommendations and work schedules.

  • Administers plant operations within Company guidelines pertaining to quality, human relations, customer relations, safety and security.

  • Reviews and responds to operational reports, and performance records to ensure expected performance levels.

  • Leverage data analytics to make strategic and tactical business decisions.

  • Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including, Excel, Word, Access and Power Point. In-depth experience with manufacturing business systems.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Ability to build, lead and maintain a high performing cohesive team environment.

  • 10 or more year’s direct experience in manufacturing environment. 5 years of Production Management experience.

  • B.S. Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing Technology or related science, or equivalent of 10+ years directly related experience.

  • Strong background and understanding of manufacturing technology, lean manufacturing philosophies, CNC equipment, Computer Aided Design, metallurgy, and a strong working knowledge of metal fabrication, welding and powder coating.
