Ensuring Chart s Success Chart s welders play a key role in the manufacturing process of Chart s products. Chart s New Prague, MN location is currently seeking candidates interested in the position of welder on the night shift. Candidates must be able to perform complex and critical welding operations and the position requires a full range of experience and training. Various types of metals are used during the production process and the following types of welding are performed: GMAW, GTAW, Sub-arc welding, Plasma-arc cutting and Air-arc gouging. What Your Day-to-Day Activities Will Be Perform welding and other related manufacturing activities with minimal instruction and supervision Layout, assemble and weld according to drawings, work instructions, and weld procedures. Ability to judge the type and gauge of steel to be welded, and make proper head adjustments as required by welding procedures. Position welded metal parts on fixtures; attached jigs and clamps as needed to hold metal parts in proper position for welding. Perform complete welding and finishing operations for unit repair. Train and instruct other welders. Use various handling devices in conjunction with welding tasks. Accurately maintain required documentation. Utilize visual examination. Observe and practice safety procedures and policies, participate in safety program and department meetings. Perform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisors.
