We currently have multiple 2nd Shift Assembly Operator openings at our New Brighton, MN manufacturing site. Assemblers will be responsible or assembling components, testing the assembly to documented specifications and packing products. Prior assembly experience is preferred, but definitely not required. We will train you!

You will:

  • Be responsible for assembling all components, per bill of material, testing the assembly to documented specifications and properly packaging the product; within reason, this must be completed to proven standards

  • Be self-motivated, a self-starter with a sense of urgency and timeliness in performing their duties with minimal supervision

  • Must be able to follow instructions and properly build product within a reasonable amount of time

  • Be flexible to work within other assembly cells

  • Support and promote 5S in the work place

  • Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations

  • Willingly contribute in the development of better methods and increased daily output of production

  • Exhibit a friendly, approachable demeanor with proficient communication skills.

  • Offer ideas and suggestions for improving our Safety and Health (AWAIR) programs

  • Exhibit problem-solving skills and is customer focused

  • Perform additional responsibilities/duties as required

You should:

  • Have obtained a high school diploma/GED

  • Be able to read, write and communicate in English in a professional manner with peers and internal/external customers

  • Have basic math skills

  • Have manual dexterity

  • Be able to learn Pentair’s products and basic product structures

  • Be self-motivated and demonstrate the ability to use time efficiently and effectively with little supervision

Location Description:

Pentair New Brighton’s plant manufactures products in the Hypro and Shurflo product lines. Hypro is an innovative spray technology product line which includes spray nozzles, precision agriculture systems and accessories used primarily in the agriculture industry. Shurflo is a market leading product line specializing in pumps and accessories in the RV, Marine and Industrial industries.

Position Hours/Shift:

2nd Shift: 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM


$15.50/hr + any applicable shift differential (2nd shift: $0.75/hr)


Temperature controlled, indoor work environment.

Physical Requirements:

Physical requirements are standing, walking, twisting at the waist, lifting and lowering weights up to 50 pounds. Steel toed shoes, eye protection & hear protection are required on the manufacturing floor.
