Aerotek Tig/mig Welder in Minneapolis, Minnesota


The individual in this role will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and using TIG Welding techniques to fabricate custom parts according to specification. Duties may include:

  • layout and position parts for each job using combination square, calipers, straightedge, etc.

  • Adjusts valves, amperage, and voltage to obtain desired arc

  • use TIG and other welding techniques to fabricate metal components according to specification

  • evaluates weld quality and conformance to specifications using hydrostatic, x-ray, and dimension tolerance tests

  • develop templates or tooling and other work aids to hold and align parts

  • comply with requirements of ISO Quality Management System, departmental procedures and work instructions

  • inspects finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring tools

  • set up and run job with little assistance or supervision
