Supervise, interview, hire, train, and develop employees
Oversee the production floor and daily operations
Monitor productivity to ensure staffing levels are allocated appropriately to meet operational demand
Respond to employee and management questions and concerns while monitoring operational accuracy and efficiency
Define, implement and sustain Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) metrics
Develop and maintain operating policies and procedures
Drive continuous improvement throughout Operations
Lead the implementation, practice and sustainment of fundamental Lean Principals & Tools such as 5S, Standard Work, Leader Standard Work, Hour by Hour, Visual Metrics, Visual Management, etc.
Coach, develop and empower employees to reach business, team and individual goals
Develop and manage training, cross-training, and rotation plans for employees to create a workforce that can compensate for sudden changes in demand and resources
Support long range capacity planning and drive changes in assigned areas and functions to support that plan
Assist with reviewing and coordinating production and general operations, such as shop order management, scheduling, inventory management, quality, and maintenance requirements
Five years of supervision experience in a manufacturing environment
Two years of Lean/Continuous Improvement Training and Experience
Problem solving and conflict resolution experience
Experience with fundamental production and operations principles and practices
PC skills; Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Experience with an ERP/MRP system
Professional Skills Required:
Ability to handle and resolve conflict within groups
Experience working within a team environment and motivating others
Understanding of basic operations management principles
Understanding of basic project management principles and practices
Strong verbal, written and presentation communication skills
Able to investigate, troubleshoot and resolve problems
Able to positively influence others
This position is a regular full-time position located in our headquarters in Fridley, Minnesota.
