Job SummaryThe Assembler is responsible for producing and assembling machine parts according to specifications.Essential FunctionsReads and follows blueprints, specifications, and other instructions in order to build and assemble parts, partially or completely, in an accurate and timely fashion.Installation of helicoils and keensertsFastens parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners, using hand tools.May remove small quantities of metal with hand files and scrapers to produce fit between parts.May operate drill presses, punch presses, riveting machines, or other mechanical devices to assist in assembly operation.May inspect and test assembly.Be able to use and read a caliperChase threaded holes with a tap by handAbility to start and stop different tasks when askedThis job requires 10 hours a day on averageOther DutiesPlease note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
