3M is seeking a Manufacturing Plant Logistics Execution (LEX) Specialist for the Safety & Graphics Business Group (SGBG) located in Maplewood, MN. At 3M, you can apply your talent in bold ways that matter. Here, you go.

Job Summary

The person hired for this role will be responsible for leading the implementation of Manufacturing Plant Logistics Execution (LEX) solutions within Safety & Graphics Business plants in the United States. The person will become the Subject Matter Expert (SME) and work with the MTD central team in Maplewood to ensure best practices are developed and implemented across multiple large Division US manufacturing facilities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead the implementation of plant Logistics Execution (LEX) solutions in SGBG US manufacturing facilities

  • Develop best practices for primary SGBG manufacturing value streams and facilities

  • Coordinate deployment efforts with local site resource SMEs (Receiving, Storage & Retrieval, Internal Movements, Shipping, etc.)

  • Escalate and facilitate the resolution of critical issues/risks that impact deployment to Corporate Teams

  • Act as the local Logistics point of contact and coach

  • Work with Plant Lean Leaders/Black Belts to help identify projects to improve flow of information / people / materials (Standard Work development)

  • Attend site visits, and lead warehouse design with cross functional team.

  • Develop and deliver FIORI solution. Train for FIORI applications for Logistics

  • Promote the logistics model that support the different configurations by plant

  • Engage with the design, testing, and deployment of SAP in the Plant-LEX space

  • Complete deployment activities by deliverable date. These activities could include process mapping current and future processes, conducting training on new processes, validating data, and testing

Basic Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in one or more of the following areas: Information Technology, Warehouse Operations, and/or Business Transformation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited university

  • Experience with SAP LEX and Warehouse Management

  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing and material flow principles

  • Project Management experience

  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Strong problem solving / troubleshooting skills

  • Excellent teaching, communication and presentation skills (verbal and written)

Location: Maplewood, MN

Travel: May include up to 50% domestic travel
