Position Summary: Daily leadership of laboratory personnel (Quality Technicians) including scheduling, directing work instruction, training, holding employees accountable, performance and development needs, and other tasks as necessary. Assists in the management of quality assurance activities for all quality personnel, laboratory operations, SQF programs, quality training, supplier and customer interactions, and reporting. Leads daily laboratory activities and collaborates with production to identify, solve and prevent problems affecting quality and food safety. Directs product quality surveillance of manufacturing areas, conducts periodic facility inspections and daily audits of processes. Collaborates with all departments to improve quality and food safety processes and leads cross-functional teams in continuous improvement projects. Involved in all aspects of Quality and Food Safety including but not limited to audits, GMP training, purchasing supplies, inspecting incoming products, customer complaints, implementing policies .and. procedures and evaluating new equipment installation or repair. EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED required BS degree in Packaging or Quality Engineering, or related field or related experience preferred EXPERIENCE (YEARS/TYPE): 1-2 Years supervisory or leadership experience required 3 to 5 years' experience in Quality Assurance preferred SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Lead quality tech employees Lead continuous improvement activities: CAPA, UPS, 6W2H Lead daily activities in the laboratory Ability to make decisions and execute them Knowledge of quality and food safety programs and processes Ability to train and mentor others Ability to troubleshoot, manage corrective actions through completion, and communicate follow-up to entire facility Ability to self-motivate SQF/HACCP certification knowledge Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to multi-task and set priorities within the department Strong organizational skills and ability to organize and follow through on projects and tasks Proficient in Microsoft Office, InfinityQS, SharePoint, and SAP Thorough knowledge of all SQF programs, especially Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Lifting up to 65 pounds Able to stand, climb, reach and walk 20/20 corrected vision Unrestricted color perception Conagra Brands is an equal opportunity employer and considers qualified applicants for employment without regard to sex, race, color, religion, ethnic or national origin, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, pregnancy, leave status, disability, veteran status, genetic information and/or any other characteristic or status protected by national, federal, state or local law.
