Dan's Prize seeks applicants who are available for a flexible hourly work schedule in our Browerville plant. This requirement is sought because there is an occasional need to extend the workday to meet the changing needs of this employer's customers. This includes possible Saturday/Sunday production. The job duties are rotated amongst employees and may include but are not limited to bagging product, stacking pallets, labeling product, and cleanup of the meat processing machinery, processing rooms, trash removal and other duties as necessary to produce the company product. The work environment requires the applicant to work in a cold environment (40 degrees) as the product is perishable and the need for prolonged periods of standing is readily evident in the production setting. The work is repetitive in nature and could involve lifting up to 40 pounds. The sanitation position requires the person to wear company provided personal protective equipment and the ability to work with a variety of industrial cleaning chemicals. Dan's Prize Inc., processes and packages meat product at two production facilities located in Browerville and Long Prairie MN. We have over 600 different meat products; we work with beef, pork, chicken, and turkey. Dan's Prize was started in 1986 with 12 employees, and our continued growth has brought us to where we are today with over 530 people. Our facility is 40 degrees, so be prepared to work in a cold factory/warehouse environment. Our work is repetitive and could involve lifting up to 40 pounds.
