Job Summary: The Mixer is responsible for following custom formulas to prepare and mix the appropriate raw ingredients required to produce a finished product. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Carry raw materials to vat, adding them together and mixing product. * Operate fork truck safely and efficiently to load and store product. * Perform job tasks with adherence to all company standard operating procedures. * Complete work timely, efficiently, and with optional quality standards. * Conduct work in a safe manner and abide by all company safety policies. * Maintain a clean work environment to meet good manufacturing practices. * Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor. * CIP tanks and lines. * Attend all mandatory trainings and meetings. Other Duties and Responsibilities: * Understand and obey all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety policies. * Knowledge of Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points (HACCP), and Food and Drug Administration (FDA). * Ability to read, understand and speak English. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. * Requires the ability to communicate and document well. * Computer literate * Be able to move up and down ladders and stairs. * Frequently move up to 55 pounds for 8 hour shifts. * Able to move about work stations in a manufacturing environment most of the shift. * Be able to work at floor level, waist level, and shoulder level repetitively. * Be able to work the shift assigned and fill in other shifts as needed. * Be able to work weekends and off shifts if needed or assigned. * Perform other duties as assigned. * Safety Protocol - Stop any observed unsafe acts, and obey facility safety rules and procedures. - Correct or report any observed safety hazards. - Support safety policies and programs. Qualifications: Education Required: * High School Diploma or equivalent preferred. Experience Required: * Previous mixing / batching experience preferred. * Some experience in the food production industry preferred.
