Job Title: Electrical Senior Machine Builder - 2E FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Department: Manufacturing Assembly Reports to: Shop Supervisors GENERAL DESCRIPTION / PURPOSE: Perform with keen efficiency and accuracy, the maintenance and assembly activities on LORAM equipment, with primary focus on work tasks that required assembly skills in electrical. Incumbents will have a higher level of competence in electrical, but also working competence in other disciplines, in order to efficiently perform essential functions in that specific area. Incumbents are expected to perform work assignments in other disciplines at any time, based on the needs of the business. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Technical Fundamentals Understands fundamental instructional techniques to provide on the job training to other workers in tasks they have gained qualifications to perform. Understands how to determine if parts received matches the bill of materials. Understands problem solving techniques and contributes to process improvement Understands how to communicate and coordinate with other Loram departments Understands hazards associated with energized systems Understands how to read and interpret intermediate electrical engineering prints, verify bill of materials and use conduit fill percent spreadsheets Understands proper use and care of required tools Understands AC/DC electrical fundamentals Understands how to identify electrical components and determine location on the machine on drawing Understands how to read and interpret schematics Understands how to bend conduit according to routing requirements Assembly Demonstrates the ability to fill out SORM paperwork properly and correctly return parts Demonstrates the ability to verify if completed assembly meets print requirements and report non conformances Demonstrates an understanding of fundamental instructional techniques to provide on the job training to other workers in tasks they have gained qualifications to perform Demonstrates the ability to route and terminate wiring in a panel or enclosure Demonstrates the ability to locate, identify, safely use and care for Loram intermediate electrical tools Demonstrates the ability to identify, cut, deburr, and thread conduit in accordance to Loram specifications Demonstrates the ability to accurately locate components to mount and install enclosures and panels on a machine Safety Demonstrates the ability to protect self and others from ARC flash hazards and apply OSHA safety requirements including lock out tag out procedures Quality Demonstrates the ability to properly complete assemblies to print and complete paper work to Loram standards. BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES: 6 total competencies Work Standards Takes Direction and Effectively Executes Safety Awareness Listening Technical Learning Action Oriented REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associates Degree with Technical Certificate or Equivalent Experience Experience: 2+ Years Manufacturing assembly experience - could be a combination of education and experience in electrical or electronics Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Pass all required background, drug and alcohol tests Maintain applicable manufacturing and railroad safety training refresher courses Took and passed all required level 1 training courses by Loram, including periodic refreshers.
