JOB SUMMARY The Blender will produce oil blends for various products going to production lines and bulk deliveries. This position requires the utilization of all material handling equipment, including operating a Forklift safely and efficiently, as well as maintaining accurate inventory through use of the warehouse management system for prompt, timely, and accurate deliveries to customers. Attend informational, training, safety, and compliance meetings as scheduled. ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Hours for this position are 1:15pm - 9:45pm or 10:15pm - 6:45pm, 4-5 days a week. However, need to have flexibility to work weekends as business dictates. Blender: Function within the guidelines of the Lube-Tech Team Ground Rules and Mission Statement Follow written instructions on the Blending Work Ticket (PWT) for the production of various blended products Gather raw material needed for blending a product per work ticket and blending work instructions Prepare samples and gain approval before completing PWT Maintain work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations Perform prescribed preventative maintenance on machines as required Complete tasks as directed by production schedules with minimum supervision Receive materials and place into inventory from trucks and railcars using a computerized warehouse management system Utilize all material handling equipment safely, efficiently, and perform all required safety checks and communicate need for repairs Package bulk material as required by a PWT for replenishment Flexible in work schedule due to product schedule and direction changes Report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager Accept schedule and direction when there are changes in workloads Perform other duties as required Attend monthly departmental and production meetings Minimal travel required for this position, e.g. On occasion travel may be required between locations depending on business needs MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma or GED Experience and/or Training: Minimum 2 years experience blending materials using precise measurements and methods Troubleshoot mechanical problems on the production line as they occur Understanding of KPMs and manufacturing packaging line processes General Quality and Safety Awareness Understanding of Lean Principles preferred but not required Ability to read and understand Saf
