Join our company and be part of an innovative team that s First in Food POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for the management, training, scheduling and development of maintenance personnel providing support to the Production/Processing areas. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervision of maintenance crew. Production support in the Production / Processing areas. Creates work orders and PMs. Responsible for installing new equipment. Troubleshoots problems with equipment. Provides a safe work environment for employees. Recognizes and takes steps to resolve operating problems in order to minimize their impact on the operations. Cooperates with all departments to assure a coordinated work relationship exists at all times. Keeps accurate and up-to-date records (I.E. timecards, downtime records, absentee records, etc.) Enforces company policies in a fair and consistent manner. Encourages suggestions from employees which will improve production, quality, safety and/or control costs of production. Keeps manager informed on operating and/or employee problems which may require their attention or knowledge. Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP s, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety. Responsible for Food Safety and Food Quality of MFI products. Perform other duties as assigned. EDUCATION AND EXPEREINCE REQUIRED: Associate s degree (AA) or two-year technical certificate in Mechanics and Electronics or a related Two years of mechanical and electrical maintenance and supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above. PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Communication and interpersonal relations. Ability to learn computerized maintenance management system. Knowledge of basic mechanics, welding, electrical, fabrication, preventative maintenance, plant operations and government safety regulations. Able to supervise department personnel in a fair and consistent manner. Be able to recognize problem situations and take appropriate steps to resolve.
