Aerotek Mechanical Assembler in Fridley, Minnesota


We're looking for a Lead Mechanical Assembler in the Fridley area to join our 1st or 2nd shift. In this role, the Team Lead oversees and monitors the assembly line activities by giving focus to the line’s achievements of established goals. They ensure the end results meet or exceed defined specifications according to in-house leadership, development training, and requirements. This is both a hands-on production and lead position.

Employees are working on an assembly line to assemble cash drawers. We are open to experience for this position as long as you are comfortable working with hand tools and working at a fast pace on your feet all day.

This is a family-owned company and there are plenty of hours to get on the floor right now as we're busy and ready to hire quickly.

Candidates will be assembling cash drawers off of process sheets, using hand tools and drills. Candidates will primarily be using screw guns, basic hand tools and basic measurement equipment to assemble small cash drawers.

Job Duties include:

-Read and interpret work orders, process plans, drawings, and diagrams required in the assembly of cash drawers.

-Review training matrix and train employees with training checklists.

-Alerts Production Manager to personnel or team issues.

-Request appropriate resources to complete work assignments in a timely manner.

-Understand and perform inspection and testing of cash drawers upon completion

-The use of hand and power tools

-Additional assembly line duties - you will get a variety of work each day to keep things fresh


The Line Team Lead is responsible for producing the highest of quality parts for their customers.

• Perform frequent quality checks

• Report on non-conforming products/components

• Enter work data accurately in Kebrite

• Rotate through all the stations and tasks required to produce a quality product

Customer Service

The Line Team Lead is responsible for providing superior customer service to their internal and external customers.

• Cross-train in various roles within production to fill in when needed

• Maintain production equipment and tools

• Prepare pallets according to documentation

• Complete customer orders on time

• Complete paperwork at the end of a job and submit (to who)

• Answer questions to the best of their ability

Continual Improvement

The Line Team Lead will take great pride in their ability to continually improve the processes within the Company.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:


-1 year+ of manufacturing exp. and a good attitude. Will consider mechanical-aptitude and construction/hand tools experience.

-BG check required

-Must be able to work on your feet all-day
