Fairmont Foods, Inc has an immediate opening for a SQF practitioner. Fairmont Foods, Inc. is a leading co-packer of frozen entrees, and produces branded and private label products for some of America s top companies. The SQF Prationer is responsible for developing, validating, verifying and maintaining the company s Food Safety Plan and Food Quality Plan. The SQF practitioner has the responsibility and necessary resources to fully manage the Safe Quality Food program and ensure it meets and/or exceeds all the requirements of the SQF Code. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead the development, maintenance and implementation of Food Safety Fundamentals as outlined in SQF code. Take appropriate action to maintain the integrity of the SQF Code system. This includes initiating an annual review by senior management, documenting all changes to the SQF system, and validating those changes. Communicate to relevant personnel all information essential to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the SQF Code System. Verification and Validation activities are the responsibility of the SQF Practitioner. The SQF Practitioner will establish a frequency schedule and methods for verifying and validating the following programs. Assisting the QA Manager in other QA duties as assigned. This position must follow, at all times, all GMP, safety, and other plant policies and procedures. SQF Practioner certification Food manufacturing experience preferred Knowledge of HACCP and GMP programs is highly desirable Thorough understanding and use of Microsoft Office EEO/Veteran Friendly Employer
