Here, you go.Job Summary:The person hired for the position of Temporary Production Shift Supervisor will primarily be responsible for direct supervision of 40 employees on 4 crew and 3 crew. This temporary assignment is expected to last through March 2019.This position provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government or military environments to a 3M career.Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:Manages and guides operation crews to produce exit volumes in a safe and productive manner.Recognize, document and help resolve any safety or ergonomic issues to maintain a safe work environment.Ensures compliance to all 3M policies, procedures and training requirements.Assist production with quality issues (or equipment issues) to maintain quality product / material for our customers.Be an engaged employee and engage other employees to ensure a safe, productive work environment.Provides leadership in the coordination and execution of training in the area.Administer disciplinary corrective action (warnings, written plans, or suspensions) to resolve personnel issues.This is a temporary position and hours worked cannot exceed a total of 899 hours within a year.Basic Qualifications:Possess a High School Diploma / GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.Minimum of five (5) years of production shift supervision experience in a manufacturing setting in a private, public, government or military environmentMinimum of two (2) years of production shift supervision experience in a water filtration manufacturing setting in a private, public, government or military environmentPreferred Qualifications:Experience in one or more of the following: supervision of warehouse personnel, project leadership, team leadership.Ability to communicate written and verbally clearly and concisely and influence changes with operators as well as other plant employees and management team members.Ability to identify and resolve issues.Location: Eagan, MN.Relocation: Is not authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).VEVRAA Federal ContractorRequest Priority Protected Veteran ReferralsEqual Opportunity Employer minorities/females/veterans/individuals with disabilities/sexual orientation/gender identity
