Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Reporting to the Manager of Wire Harness Engineering, the Supervisor of Wire Harness Design is responsible for the leading the engineering team tasked with design, testing, certification, and ongoing engineering support of all aspects of aircraft electrical wiring. Technical areas include system wiring diagram definition, interconnects, wire harness shielding for EMI/HIRF considerations, harness routing, assembly and installation. You will influence wire harness design direction and methodologies, ensuring consistent and appropriate designs and engineering processes are utilized across all Cirrus projects, driving safe, reliable, and cost-effective system designs. You will support creation of certification plans and reports to meet 14 CFR Part 23 requirements in accordance with established Cirrus processes.
The Supervisor of Wire Harness Design is responsible for progression and coaching of less experienced engineers, resource allocation, staffing, and performance reviews. This individual supports the Manager of Electrical Engineering with budget planning and control, resource/project planning, and maintaining awareness of key deliverables and schedule milestones. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated history of fostering individual engagement and initiative, driving improvements to engineering process, and implementing design methodologies resulting in superior technical design and enhanced team productivity.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) required.
6 years total relevant experience
0-4 years leadership experience
Experience in the following preferred:
Leading teams of 10 or more engineers working on multiple complex projects
Aircraft electrical wire harness design and certification to 14 CFR Part 23
Use of design tools such as CREO Cabling, Mentor Graphics Capital Logic/Harness XC, MATLAB, EAGLE, VBA, or similar programs
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read, write and speak the English language
Ability to work both independently and within a cross-functional team
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, Project)
