Responsible for the design and installation of electrical wire harnesses for FAA certified single engine aircraft. Work closely with other engineering disciplines to understand and capture wiring requirements and ensure compatibility with all surrounding elements. Work closely with production and product development groups within the organization to ensure wiring installations meet all safety, performance, and regulatory requirements. This is an entry level full time position.
Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):
Develop and maintain electrical wiring diagrams and harness architecture to meet aircraft system requirements (e.g. functionality, electrical loading and circuit protection, electromagnetic compatibility, and routing constraints)
Design, drafting, and review of electrical wiring 3D models, assembly drawings, and installation drawings for aircraft electrical and avionics systems, including power distribution, RF, and data busses.
Design of electrical equipment assemblies and enclosures
Selection of electrical wiring assembly and installation components such as connectors, backshells, wire, insulation, and hardware.
Understanding and application of EMI/RFI, signal shielding, and electrical bonding principles.

Required Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering (or equivalent) required
0-2 years experience with wire harness development/integration
Distinguishing Education and/or Experience:
Prior experience with the following is desirable:
Aircraft or automotive electrical wiring design (2-D and/or 3-D)
Creo Cabling and Mentor Graphics Capital Logic and HarnessXC
Power generation and distribution
Use of lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, spectrum analyzers, and data acquisition equipment
Working in a multifunction team
Reading and writing technical documents, such as design specifications, analysis reports, test plans, and test reports.
Presenting design reviews to peers and management
Ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the organization
Handle multiple activities simultaneously and ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks.
Aviation and Pilot experience preferred
Must be able to demonstrate the ability to read, write and speak the English language
Ability to communicate technical knowledge in a clear and understandable manner
Ability to work both independently and within a cross-functional team
Ability to efficiently learn new skills and manage multiple tasks
Use of lab equipment, such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers
Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio)
Familiarity with Atlassian JIRA, PTC Windchill PDM, and PTC Creo tools preferred
Education/Training:Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or related field.
Prior relevant internship / co-op experience is a strong plus.
