Summary:This role supports a 24 hour, 5-7 days-a-week operation. The incumbent will utilize project management techniques, manage capital projects, drive the facility maintenance efforts, oversee work order activity, and support additional operations at the Duluth Plant. The incumbent will also be responsible in ensuring compliance with local, state and federal regulations and company policies and assuring EHS&S compliance with emphasis on OSHA regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilitiesinclude but are not limited to the following:/(Management reserves the right to add or modify the duties and responsibilities at any time.)/
Manage the maintenance department by organizing, scheduling and overseeing daily preventative maintenance and coordinating minor and major equipment outages.
Manage a team of hourly maintenance technicians. Evaluate employee performance and promote skill development through coaching and training.
Manage capital projects from justification through installation while maintaining allotted budget.
Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement regarding operational costs and equipment efficiency.
Purchasing of MRO supplies and developing annual department budgets.
Develop relationships with suppliers to obtain technical support and additional product information.
Schedule onsite visits to ensure continuous operational/equipment efficiency.

Education and/or Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred
2 years project management and supervisory experience preferred
2 years experience in maintenance/industrial environment preferred
Competent Windows based computer skills, spreadsheet skills required
Analytical and problem solving skills
CAD use and project experience
Experience in CMMS and RAM programs preferred
Supervisory/leadership experience in an Union environment preferred
