Cirrus Aircraft Lead - Production SF Composite Wing Area in Duluth, Minnesota
Job Summary: Production Lead for Vision Jet (SF50) Composite Assembly team. Assists supervisor in coordinating activities of workers engaged in production or related activities.
Communicates, prioritizes, and assigns tasks to a specific group of employees in accordance to supervisor, or appropriate designee’s instructions.
Monitors employees’ daily output and assigns workers to work stations to meet production requirements. Interprets process specifications for workers as needed.
Confers with supervisor to receive instructions and exchange production information.
Performs “shop supervisor” inspections for a specific area of the work center. Monitors production and adjusts work assignments, supply of material, and machine operation when necessary.
Assists supervisor or appropriate designee in identifying problem areas and recommends solutions.
Responsible for immediate follow up on or referral of employee conflicts or other employee related issues to the supervisor or line manager.
Works with the supervisor to include input for performance reviews.
Communicates with engineering personnel and other areas as needed.
Trains and assists new employees in job responsibilities.
May be asked to coordinate, develop, and provide on-the-job training for technicians, attend Train-the-Trainer sessions, assist supervisor in assessing the training needs and document training as required.
Ensures that all assigned work areas are kept clean, orderly, and presentable at all times. Applies the 6S principle (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety).
Wears proper protective equipment during appropriate job functions.
Complies with all paperwork, such as work instructions, that govern job duties.
May be assigned to different work areas as production needs require.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Team Lead, Department Supervisor, Line Manager, or appropriate designee.

Must be able to work as part of a team.
Must be able to fill out work instructions properly, able to understand the planning flow and be able to adjust and explain the planning procedures.
Must be able to understand all process specifications and pertinent reference information.
Must be proficient in completing forms necessary to generate work and changes to work orders, pick lists, drawings, and other related documents.
Ability to use and recognize the necessary tools needed to perform the necessary installation of the required hardware.
Able to read, interpret and work from engineering drawings, blue prints, production illustrations and other specifications to determine the identity, location and relationship of aircraft parts.
Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug screen
Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED required. One to twelve months' related experience and/or training. Cirrus manufacturing experience preferred.
