SUMMARY McNeilus is excited to offer a paid training program for people interested in industrial painting. This position provides a blend of classroom and hands-on learning. Participants will begin with a heavy emphasis on safety and be introduced to our manufacturing environment and processes. This course will cover set up, paint mix, substrate preparation and application. Candidates who successfully complete the training program and on-the-job training will become eligible as a painter. Candidates who do not successfully complete the training program may be eligible for further training opportunities or non-painting positions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Mix paints and primers to exact specifications Paint in detailed and large-scale settings Follow verbal and written work instructions Adhere to quality standards Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations Regular attendance required All other duties and responsibilities that are assigned BASIC QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED Follows all safety and compliance regulations Willing to work over 40 hours per week Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 6+ months of residential or commercial painting Enjoys working in a team environment Willingness to be trained Positive attitude Attention to detail Basic math skills Oshkosh Corporation is an Equal Opportunity employer of Minorities, Females, Protected Veterans, and Individuals with Disabilities, and is committed to providing equal opportunities for all employees and applicants.
