The Lead Person is responsible for overseeing the daily activity of employees and to provide training to staff so they can run the shipping and receiving departments efficiently.

Obey all safety policies and procedures, always work in a safe manner and report unsafe conditions or hazards.
Oversee and provide daily direction to the employees within their work area.
Monitor assigned duties and ensure the processes remain in control and operate efficiently.
Monitor the process and notify appropriate person when issues arise beyond their abilities to resolve.
Track productivity provide feedback and coaching to staff and utilize” visual boards” and other methods to communicate to the staff.
Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement.
Assist the Supervisor and functions as their backup when their unavailable.
Relieve others during time of absence in the shipping and receiving processes.
Cycle counting and inventory adjustments
Assist in training of Logistic Coordinators, and Dock Workers.
Data entry of shift reporting into TMM.
Maintain work area in a neat and organized manner performing housekeeping duties.
Attend and participate in safety, toolbox and other meetings.
Perform other duties as requested by supervisor/manager
Education and/or Experience Requirements:
High School or GED or track record of similar work requiring the knowledge, skills, and abilities as outlined in this job description
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of T.O. Plastics products and processes is preferred
Must be able to interact successfully with coworkers and utilize influencing skills as needed to obtain results
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and the company’s ERP system
Basic math skills
High skill level at operating a forklift
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
Strong reasoning ability
Process development and adherence
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Fast paced environment around automated manufacturing equipment and forklifts carrying small to large loads
High decibel equipment requiring the use of ear protection
Potential flying debris and dust
Extreme weather to include both heat and cold
Ability to operate a forklift
Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
Ability to lift and adjust inventory as needed to ensure safe storage
