The Production Manager will have responsibility for multiple product lines in hardware manufacturing operations in a multiple shift environment. This will include recruiting and managing a team, identifying and implementing policies, procedures, and manufacturing strategies to facilitate efficient production and performance. This position is hands-on and requires strong production and supply chain leadership skills of a team of supervisors as well as a larger direct labor workforce. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring a culture of high performance, collaboration with a drive for DBS application for continuous improvement.

Essential job responsibilities:

  • Manage and develop teams, facilitate individual and team growth to associates in a way that drives engagement of employees while exercising humility during the process.

  • Take ownership for on-time delivery of products from respective work cells and product lines.

  • Owns establishing the budget, reporting on financial progress to date, as well as forecasting forward looking financials for assigned product lines. Provides input for capital expenditures for new equipment and facilities vital to support current and future needs.

  • Provide manufacturing and operations support on key New Product Development Projects

  • Maintain workflow by supervising steps of the process; observing processes and equipment, supervising personnel and resources, developing visual reporting and daily management to ensure success in meeting the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity goals. Identify gaps to goal and drives action to close the gaps.

  • Drive ever-improving results by using Danaher Business System (DBS) tools, consulting skills, and change management process.

  • Ensure compliance and adherence of the quality system including document control, quality control, quality assurance, and calibration.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Bachelor's degree with 9+ years experience in an FDA/ISO regulated manufacturing environment or Master’s degree with 7+ years experience in an FDA/ISO regulated manufacturing environment

  • 5 years minimum in a leadership role

  • Proven experience using continuous improvement tools and methodologies

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in

  • Medical device
