Manufacturing Technician

Under direct supervision, performs functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies and final assemblies. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct on-line adjustments to products, instruments or equipment. Assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Works with engineers under close supervision in conducting experiments.

Location: Chanhassen, MN

Your Challenge:

  • Assembling products and assisting the Production Lead in the assembly of products and completion of day-to-day activities and work tasks.

  • Understanding and following procedures, work instructions, specifications and other requirements

  • Performing standard setups and completing documentation of process data accurately including test data and non-conformances.

  • Following quality requirements/ quality assurance standards, processes, and controls and identifying and communicating occurrences of non-compliance / non-conformance

  • Participating in process and quality improvement activities. Responsible for maintaining programs, assembly documentation, routings and processes used in the fabrication of complex products.

  • Make recommendations for tooling and process requirements of new and existing processes

  • Interface with team to coordinate new product release to production.

Your Expertise:

  • 5+ years of mechanical assembly experience.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and work instruction diagrams.

  • Mechanical aptitude.

  • Effective communication skills.

  • HS diploma or equivalent required; technical diploma preferred.

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds
