The Opportunity | CNC Mill Machinist/Programmer
Under general supervision, programs, operates and maintains the set-ups of CNC machines and tools. Performs a variety of machining operations and modify / write CNC programs when required. And provides mid level programing and machining support. Creates manufacturing process sheets and has extensive knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
Write and prove out CNC programs when required. Required programming to consist of a moderate level of complexity; typically 3 + 2, and surfacing tool paths. Troubleshoot and diagnose processes to eliminate variability.
Interrogates, and interprets customer Online Work Instructions (OWI) along with corresponding Model Based Definition (MBD).
Manufactures and inspects detailed parts and tools from blueprints, sketches, drawings and verbal instructions using primarily VMC Haas VF2 and Mori Dura Vertical machines.
Maintains manufacturing process sheets for sheet metal parts utilizing CATIA software including assemblies, and located finishes.
Keep work area clean and free from safety hazards. Maintain acceptable quality and efficiency level.
5+ years of experience with setting up and running CNC Milling machines or 5+ years of experience with setting up and running Vertical Machining Centers (VMC).
5+ years of programming experience is required; ESPRIT is a strong asset.
High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical or trade school is preferred.
Strong aptitude for detail and accuracy.
High level of problem solving skills to research available resources with strategic thinking to ensure an organized environment.
Persistence required to ensure workflow is maintained, and should have self management, initiative, dependability, and time management qualities and attributes.
