Position Summary Hand and machine-aided assembly of medical products and components in both cleanroom and non-cleanroom environments. Supports in-line assembly by providing training as a trainer of new employees to customer line specific duties as assigned. Conducts line set-up and line clearance activities. Duties Reads and demonstrates understanding of the standard operating procedures, forms and additional instruction provided for medical product assembles assigned. Demonstrates understanding and willingness to adhere to standard operating procedures for movement through the facility, cleanrooms, gowning areas, etc. Supports updates to associated training records. Conducts assembly and inspection of medical products. Provides assemblers training to standard operating procedures and forms completion as specifically assigned by supervision. Reports in-process supply and component concerns or needs in a timely manner in order to support production of quality products and continuation of line activity. Reports personnel, equipment and facility concerns to line supervision. Identifies operational issues/problems and reports them to supervision. Considers and recommends ways to optimize or improve manufacturing processes and materials to supervision. Ensures clean and orderly production areas. Supports Production supervision by assembly activities in order to meet overall shipment deadlines, as needed. Conducts in-process testing, and inspection as required. Participates in document reviews and document changes to ensure clarity and completeness as requested by supervision. Demonstrates understanding of the principles associated with cleaning the cleanroom areas and willingness to apply the principles. Learns revised and new product procedures, new equipment operational instructions, etc. and requests support from supervision when additional training is desired or needed. Reports observations relating to methods for improving efficiency, quality, and cost to Line Leader. Reports the factors that have positively and adversely affected personal achievement of production objectives in a timely manner such that proactive steps can be taken to address recommendations to Line Lead. Demonstrates capability and willingness to work on multiple lines while maintaining a high level of quality and achieving above standard throughput. Demonstrates independent work ethic and consistent attention to detail. Demonstrates proficiency and overall execution of skill sets for number of skills mastered, consistent speed of throughput, and reliable quality defined as low level of rejects and/or rework. Education Degree High School Diploma or GED Required Experience Good problem solving skills. Ability to follow GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices). Ability to lift and exert force of up to 25 lbs.
