How you will bring value to Donaldson:

The Quality Manager will have domestic & global responsibility for establishing and maintaining quality standards for existing & new global Engine products and services, as well as developing programs to focus employees on quality improvement.

Develop long-term and short-term, progressive plans to proactively meet the global business demands improving strategies and relationships across Donaldson.

Develop & maintain the quality strategy systems and processes to meet the company's strategies and aspirations.

Provides leadership and direction in the development of effective quality policies and programs which ensure that the organization produces quality products.

Lead direct reports in the implementation and communications for all systems, focusing proactively to quality strategies & plans.

Interact closely with all original equipment and on-road accounts, facilitating update calls and fielding critical and routine issues.

Ensure cross-functional teams are formed for the review and resolution of non-conformance or non-compliance to standards and/or regulations as required.

Work directly with the account management teams for Air, Liquid, Emissions, etc. for new designs on products

Provides leadership and functional direction to plant quality control functions to achieve the production of quality products.

Serve as the primary contact for all US manufacturing plants and a regional contact to other areas of the globe. Facilitate leadership meetings to help drive quality initiatives, processes, & systems.

Work closely with customers, engineering, procurement and manufacturing.

Audits quality functions for compliance with established systems and standards; recommends corrective action as necessary.

Effectively communicates and represents quality to leaders & other areas of the company to enhance inter-company cooperation and understanding on quality standards and systems necessary to meet customer requirements.

Reports on progress toward objectives and opportunities for significant advancements in quality leadership.

Directs the preparation of quality cost control reports; cost estimates and manpower/equipment requirement forecasts.

Bachelor’s degree in quality, science, engineering or technology related field and minimum 8 years within the manufacturing industry, including managerial experience

Working knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes & engineering

Responsible for leadership of the divisional quality function

Demonstrated ability to be a strategic leader/thinker and planner

Manages the quality function - staff will report directly to this position or through supervisory staff

Broad knowledge & implementation of quality certifications (ex. ISO, AE, IATF 16949)

Working knowledge of core quality tools (APQP, FMEA, CP, MSA, SPC, PPAP)
