Manufacturing Operator - C Shift - Life Sciences US-MN-Bloomington Job ID: 2020-8077 Type: Active Full-Time # of Openings: 1 Category: Manufacturing Bloomington Overview The Manufacturing Operator position is responsible for mechanical build and testing through various tasks such as inspecting, testing and packaging of product per approved procedures. Responsibilities Safety Maintains a clean and safe work area. Wears required Personal Protective Equipment. Performs duties in a safe manner that protects self, other employees and equipment from harm or exposure. Follows approved safety rules and procedures. Communicates potential hazards immediately to supervisor. Production Performs various operations on the product in accordance with the work orders and information instructions. Inspects product visually and takes corrective action when necessary. Verifies the work order, part number, batch numbers and the case quantity to the work order and the packaging specifications. Ensures all product is packaged per packaging specifications. Documentation Completes all required documentation thoroughly and timely (i.e. Production Reports, Rack Tickets, Labels, Component Sheets, Rework Sheets, SAP Transactions, etc.). Maintains accurate attribute/variable charts of rejected materials. Completes variable charts on manufacturing processes and count of good product as required. Quality Identifies and escalates quality issues appropriately. Processes deviations and Quality Notifications according to established processes. Ensures highest possible product quality and adherence to the quality system, ISO and/or other standards. Communication Provides clear and timely information to others. Escalates issues effectively. Communicates with oncoming employees at shift change and describes all pertinent issues. Dependability Reports to work as scheduled; works the full shift and follows appropriate break schedule. Works overtime as requested. Continuous Improvement Identifies and recommends process improvements to improve product quality and enhance processes. Promotes and implements use of continuous improvement tools to eliminate non-value activities. Participates actively in continuous improvement activities such as 6s, Kaizen events, etc. Values Demonstrates PACE values in daily behavior and consistent with PACE Path. Identifies problems, works collaboratively to solve them. Demonstrates the capability and willingness to adapt to new, different and changing requirements and assignments. Uses respectful language and tact toward others. Completes miscellaneous tasks as assigned in support of the larger organization and production goals.
