Description
Position Purpose: Help
train employees on procedures pertaining to production equipment. Directly assist
filling and assembly personnel with mechanical activities in a manner
consistent with manufacturing department goals and objectives.
Description of responsibilitiesin their order of importance:

- Effectively trainand assist the filling and assembly personnel in operation and changeover ofequipment. Key goal: Effectivelytrain all filling and assembly staff on proper use of equipment. Perform onlinecoaching and troubleshooting of issues of a mechanical nature.
Coordinateindividual employees training needs with Supervisors and the Production Trainer.
Work directlyonline with employees to develop efficient, effective setups, changeovers andoperation of equipment.
Assist line personnelin troubleshooting mechanical issues.
Followup on training progress with supervisors and Trainer.
Coordinatetimes to evaluate and work with employees on training needs.
- Maintain andsupport a safe work environment. Key goal:Eliminate accidents and continuously improve ergonomics.
Ensure team members adhere to established safe workpractices.
Ensure team members utilize proper ergonomic relatedequipment.
Implement programsto reduce workplace injuries.
Report any necessarysafety related issues.
- Perform troubleshooting and repairs on equipment located in all serviced departments. Key goal: Conducttrouble shooting and repairs on equipment to minimize downtime.
All Safety related issues must be correctedimmediately
Complete work orders in a timely manner.
Quickly and safely respond to any equipmentchallenges.
Consult or Utilize outside recourses when needed.
Effectively communicate with the Department Supervisorand Manager regarding any equipment issues.
If the trouble shootingprocess has exceeded a reasonable amount of time request assistance fromother team members or outside rescores
- Performpreventative maintenance on equipment located in all serviced departments. Key goal: Conductpreventative maintenance on equipment to minimize downtime and performancechallenges.
Complete preventive maintenance work orders in atimely manner.
Monitor PM work orders for additions or corrections.
Work with the Preventative Maintenance Coordinator toensure all equipment is entered into the MP2 software database.
Assist other teammembers with PM’s in the event they fall behind schedule.
- Maintain andsupport a quality / caring work environment. Key goal: Produce productsthat meet all quality expectations and eliminate rejections.
Give clear direction to team members aboutmanufacturing, quality and safety processes and procedures.
Assist in line adjustments to assure quality productoutput.
Communicate any quality challenges with theappropriate team members and Supervisor.
Report any necessaryquality related issues.
- Effectivelyutilize line equipment and materials. Key goal: Verifyroutings and consistently produce to standard cost.
Train employees on startup, operation, changeover andtroubleshooting of multiple lines within the standard time.
Perform setup and changeovers of multiple lines withinthe standard time.
Communicate efficiency expectations to employeesduring training.
Minimize material loss by monitoring fill accuracy andtransfer losses.
Verify all lineefficiency goals are being maintained and documented.
- Miscellaneous
Help with the training of Team Members.
Conduct pilot andline trial runs.
Perform otherduties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Previous
experience of 2 years in filling and packaging environment in a mechanical
function.
