Compounding Supervisor - 1st Shift

Position Purpose:

Supervise compounding personnel and departmental activities in a manner consistent with corporate and manufacturing goals, production schedules, quality objectives and personnel policies.

Description of Duties:

Essential Duties:

  • Supervise shift personnel and assist with compounding activities to ensure timely completion of production schedule.

  • Support and enforce corporate and department procedures and policies.

  • Supervise train and support safety policies, procedures and safe work practices.

  • Participate and contribute to daily and monthly EHS activities.

  • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of accidents, OSHA recordables, and incident investigations.

  • Give performance and compensations reviews of team members.

  • Conduct regular shift communication meetings.

  • Assist with hiring, interviewing of new employees.

  • Supervise and assist with batching operations as time permits.

  • Supervise and assist in the cleaning and sanitation activities as time permits.

  • Coordinate spill control, proper clean up and waste disposal activity.

  • Maintain accurate inventory through SAP transactions.

  • Tank and Pump Inspections. CSE Permits.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Other Duties:

  • Verify weighing and documentation accuracy of other compounders.

  • Assist R&D with Process Development of new products.

  • Other duties as assigned.



2 year AA Degree required, 4 year BA/BS degree preferred


2-3 years experience as Lead Compounder preferred.


Effective time management skills, the ability to give direction in a positive professional manor, good math skills, mechanical aptitude, ability to routinely lift up to 80 pounds, detail oriented, good written and communication skills. Must be able to use all protective and safety equipment.
