Join our dedicated team of professionals! We are looking for a Mill Machinist III to join our team! We have weekend shift available. This position is eligible for a sign on bonus. We offer 20% shift differential (capped at $4.00/hr). Friday-Sunday 6a-6:3pm Position summary The Machinist III position meets all Machinist II requirements and is knowledgeable with all machine functions. This position will take a print of a part and manufacture the part described. They can also develop a process to include layout and tool checking new jobs, editing a program, complete set up, dry run and manufacture parts with close tolerances or unusual requirements with no assistance. Essential Job Functions Provide an advanced level of machining techniques Understand tool detection, tool presetting and probe Make program edits and maintains efficiency levels at or above 90% Troubleshoot and resolve issues, escalating non-conformance for parts and policies to the cell leads attention Perform tool checks and fabricates tooling prints Promote good morale and productivity Mentor Machinist I and II, checking in to ensure understanding and compliance to the work instructions, operating procedures, and training documents Streamline setups for optimum efficiencies Interact with programming, engineering, and quality to problem solve Initiate SPC on difficult jobs Work with difficult materials Run all jobs in the department Cross train in other departments to learn new skills Runs multiple CNC machines Understand advanced blueprint reading, geometric tolerancing concepts and math skills Read and comply with work instructions, set up sheets, and checklists Support and comply with the company Quality System, ISO, and medical device requirements Read, understand, and follow work instructions and standard work Partner with other business segments: sales/marketing, customer service, engineering, quality, and finance Understand customer needs and the core business markets we serve Ensure business systems are implemented, maintained, and functioning properly Participate in required company meetings Maintain an organized work area (5S) Participate in the Operational Excellence Program Complete all other work duties as assigned Ability to work in a manufacturing environment Minimum Requirements, Education and Experience (incl. KSA's and certifications) Associate Machining or Technical Degree 5 years of experience as a CNC machinist 3 years of experience machining medical components with tight tolerances Ability to use a microscope and operate hand tools Ability to collaborate and assist team members, provide input to the area lead, and attend and participate in meetings Ability to cross train in other areas of production when required Microsoft Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher) Clear and effective verbal and written communication skills Attention to detail Organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment Ability to prioritize and multitask Desirable Criteria and Qualifications Medical CNC manufacturing experience Mentoring experience Experience working in a highly regulated industry (FDA, ISO) Physical and Environmental Demands Cretex Companies use cutting oils, solvents, and
