Staff Management | SMX Materials Coordinator (Supply Chain) in Anoka, Minnesota

Staff Managment SMX in partnership with Nvent of Anoka MN are in search of a 2nd shift Materials Coordinator (Supply chain) to monitor and respond to signals to insure inventory and WIP is picked and delivered to the support and production areas to optimized efficiency and flow. This is a temp to hire opportunity.

Duties: -Review and release work orders in a timely manner and perform transactions necessary to maintain accurate records and inventory balances. -Ensure efficient flow of material through assigned value streams by coordinating and responding to triggers / signals within the process. Signals include physical cards, events, system events, and time. -Maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of the staging area. -Operate a variety of equipment applicable within assigned area. -Communicate with appropriate resources when problems arise affecting on-time delivery of materials to value streams and/or adherence to schedule. -Participates actively as a team member through continuous improvement and Lean activities.

Starting Wage: $17.00.

Required Skills:

-Skilled use of computer, knowledge of business software; JD Edwards, Access, Excel. -Knowledge of Lean principles and activities. -Understanding of production processes and inventory. -Good written and oral communication skills. -Ability to multi-task -1+ years experience in a manufacturing environment. -APICS Certification preferred. -Forklift experience preferred by not required.
