PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: To work safely and maintain all quality standards while achieving production levels at or above the posted goal; thereby ensuring customers receive quality products when they want them at a competitive price. Safety - Follow all rules and procedures; keep area neat and orderly; report all existing or potential safety hazards/issues to leadership immediately. Utilize Safety Observation system. Environmental/hazardous waste - Understand and follow all procedures. Quality - Understand all product quality requirements and procedures, insure they are met. Notify adjuster or leadership of excessive defective levels. Understand how defects can impact final customers including Law Enforcement and Military. Production/Delivery - Achieve or exceed the posted production goals to ensure on-time delivery to internal and external customers. Teamwork - Be an effective team member. Continuous Improvement - Contribute your ideas through the Kaizen card process. Work the hours scheduled for the assigned shift plus overtime as needed. Operate production machines according to job break down tasks. Assemble and handle ammunitions components and products. Fill out paperwork. Package loaded rounds. Assist team with changeovers. Follow 5S and clean up protocols. Perform other duties as assigned Physical Requirements: Standing and moving for about 90% of the time. Reaching, handling, fingering and manual dexterity to assemble and inspect. Frequent lifting, moving, pushing and pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds. Near vision for detecting quality defects and far vision for operations of fork lift or other mobile equipment. Must have normal color vision and normal depth perception capability. Climbing, stooping, bending and kneeling on a daily basis. Mental Requirements: High level of mental attentiveness for safety and to manipulate and visually inspect small parts. Reading and basic math comprehension to understand and interpret training guides, standard operating procedures and quality information (charts, graphs, etc.) and to complete production reports. Interpersonal communication skills to facilitate problem-solving and to function effectively as part of a work team. Flexibility to move between jobs and to handle many tasks simultaneously. Equipment Used: Operation of hand tools, forklift and other mobile equipment. Working Environment: Manufacturing floor environment is subject to exposure to noise, vibration, summer heat, moving objects and mechanical equipment hazards. Exposure to a wide variety of chemicals possible depending on assigned area. Work is often done with and around others as part of work teams and back-up from co-workers or supervisor is generally available. Shift Information: Potential openings on the following full-time shifts: Shift U: 7pm-7am Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and every other Thursday nights Shift P: 7am-7pm Friday, Saturday, Sunday and every other Thursday Shift Q: 7pm-7am Friday, Saturday, Sunday and every other Thursday nights STARTING WAGE is $16.41/hr (+ applicable shift premium) with potential increases every 90 days based on performance up to $20.89/hr.
